Product Name: Panasonic Nozzle 1001N
Description: Panasonic Nozzle 1001N for Panasonic CM402/CM602/NPM
For a Panasonic placement head, the nozzle is the part that touches the work: it picks a component from the feeder, holds it on vacuum and sets it on the pad. The 1001N is the nozzle number used across three generations of Panasonic head, so a plant running older CM machines alongside newer NPM lines can keep a single reference on the shelf. This is a direct replacement for the nozzle already fitted to your smt pick and place machine, and fitting a fresh one restores the pick-up consistency the head had when it was new.

Treat the 1001N as the precision part it is. A nozzle that has been dropped on a bench or rattled around with other tooling will not pick reliably, even when the tip looks undamaged. In daily use, check the tip at the start of a shift and clear flux build-up before it hardens; a lint-free cloth, a soft brush and dry, oil-free air work better than a sharp tool or an aggressive solvent. On a busy line, nozzles are often left in place until placement defects appear, by which time you have scrapped boards as well as lost time. Order replacements against the original part number, the reference the smt pick and place machine manufacturers publish.
ZJ-SMT supplies Panasonic SMT and PCB assembly equipment and spare parts to manufacturers worldwide. Our range covers pick-and-place machines, axial and radial insertion equipment, solder paste inspection systems, and feeder spare parts, with both new and used options available. We support bulk orders, and machine condition and availability are confirmed with you before ordering. Whether you are expanding a line, replacing a worn feeder part, or sourcing equipment for a new project, send us your model numbers and our team will come back with a suitable solution and quotation.
CM402, CM602 and NPM heads. Head configurations can differ between machines that carry the same model badge, so check the nozzle list for the head you actually run rather than the name on the door. Tell us your head type and we will confirm the reference from the pick and place machine manufacturers' parts list.
Missed picks, components that shift or rotate after placement, and faults that appear and then clear are the usual signs. A nicked tip or a vacuum channel carrying flux residue will not hold smt components as steadily as a new one. If you are already adjusting the placement programme to compensate for the head, the nozzle is the cheaper thing to change first.
No. The 1001N is supplied under part number N610098969AA, and every nozzle type has its own number and its own head fit — a 1002 or 1002N will not substitute for it. If the marking on your old nozzle is unreadable, send a clear photo and the machine model and we will identify the right number for you.
Fit the nozzle fully, run the nozzle teaching or pick-height check your machine uses, and place a first article before releasing the pick and place machine back to production. Nozzles are made to a fixed length, so a like-for-like replacement should not need a programme change. If placement is still off after a correct fit, check the seating and the vacuum channel before touching the programme.
Keep them in their protective tube or tray in a dry, dust-free place, and handle them by the body rather than the tip. Loose nozzles in a drawer are the most common reason a spare will not pick properly when it is finally needed. Label the tube with the head it belongs to so the right nozzle goes back onto the right smt pick and place machine.
It depends on the cause. If the offset follows the head and changes when you swap nozzles, the nozzle is the likely source — a worn tip or a partly blocked vacuum channel changes how the component is held. If the offset follows the board or the feeder position, the nozzle is not the problem and a replacement will not correct it. Swapping a nozzle is a quick way to test the first case.
